how long until i feel results?
it depends on your case – after getting to know and understand your situation, i’ll be able to answer your question as it pertains to your unique case. some clients feel relief immediately, others may take several visits. schedule an in-take.
how do i know if the treatments are working?
it’s biofeedback from your body, no guesswork required. you’ll know because you feel the difference.
there are certain conditions, like neuropathy, where it may take longer for you to feel a big difference. however, one of my favorite things about this type of medicine is that side effects along the way usually include: improved sleep, better energy and digestion, and a happier mood.
i also repeat various physical exams on a regular basis to make sure we’re moving forward in progress.

how much do spark health treatments cost?
you will receive a customized recommended plan of care after the in-take.
an initial full in-take includes:
- consultation, physical exam (including functional neurology exam and pulse diagnosis), bloodwork review
- the cost is $250
if paying a la carte, standard office visits are $200 and include multiple therapeutic interventions. plan to be in the office roughly 50 minutes.

are spark health treatments covered by insurance?
spark health does not bill insurance, and most of our innovative therapeutic interventions are not covered. many of our clients use their hsa cards.

what are spark health’s hours?
dr. akemi is in spark health’s downtown charleston, south carolina office on tuesdays and thursdays by appointment only. she is available online on mondays, wednesdays and fridays by appointment only for outpatient care.
